About

Caryn received her Bachelors in Psychology from Calvin College in 2001. After working in Foster Care case management, Caryn went on to get her Masters in Social Work from Western Michigan University, with her focus on Counseling and Interpersonal Practice. Interning at what was formerly The Center for Women in Transition (now named Resilience) and Bethany Christian Services, Caryn graduated with her Masters in 2006. Caryn provided Psychotherapy and Counseling at Bethany Christian Services for a wide variety of individuals, couples and families until 2017. While at Bethany, Caryn was also the School Counselor at Zeeland Christian School for three years. In 2018, Caryn started her Private Practice.

Caryn is passionate about providing a therapeutic relationship that is warm and judgment free. You will experience grace and compassion, feeling safe to explore your particular areas of strengths and difficulty, build your strategies to cope, understand your thoughts and feelings, and work to feel better.
